1. Choose the format
- Fixed teams (everyone plays every team once): use the round robin generator.
- Rotating partners (a new partner each game): use the mixer.
- Competitive ladder-style fun: use king of the court.
2. Work out the time
Count the rounds, then multiply by the time per round. Games to 11, win by 2, usually take 12–20 minutes in rec play. If court time is fixed, use timed rounds (for example 15 minutes) and score whatever was reached.
3. Handle odd numbers fairly
When players don't fill every court, someone sits out each round. RallyMatchup rotates sit-outs so nobody rests more than once more than anyone else, and players who just rested go back on first.
4. Make the schedule visible
Print the schedule for the fence or noticeboard, or share the link so players can check their court on their phones.
5. Keep score and announce winners
Enter scores as games finish. Fixed-team round robins rank by wins, then point difference. Mixers can rank individuals the same way.
