How to use it

  1. Enter everyone who is playing, one name per line.
  2. Set your courts and, if you like, the number of rounds (auto picks a sensible number).
  3. Press Generate schedule and call out round 1.
  4. Optionally enter scores to crown the day’s winner (ranked by wins, then point difference).

How the rotation works

Each round RallyMatchup first decides who sits out: the players who have rested the most play first. It then tries many arrangements of the remaining players and keeps the one with the fewest repeat partners and repeat opponents. The result is a fair, mixed session without a whiteboard.

Prefer paper? See the printable doubles round robin charts for 4 to 24 players, for example 8 players on 2 courts.

Example: 10 players on 2 courts

Eight players are on court each round and two rest. Set 10 rounds and every player rests exactly twice and plays 8 games, almost always with a different partner each time.

Frequently asked questions

What is a pickleball mixer?

A social doubles session where partners change every game. It is a great way to meet players and keep open play fair.

What happens if the number of players doesn’t fill every court?

Extra players sit out in turn. RallyMatchup keeps sit-outs within one of each other, and players who just sat out play next.

Will I get the same partner twice?

Rarely. The generator minimizes repeat partners first and repeat opponents second, so repeats only appear late in long sessions.

Can I balance teams by skill?

Not yet. Today the mixer balances partners, opponents and sit-outs, not skill levels. For level-based games, try a Mexicano or king of the court.
