Mexicano rules in short
Mexicano is a padel social format built on Americano. Every match is played to a fixed number of points, every rally counts, and each player collects the points their team wins. The difference is how teams are made. After each round the players are ranked, and the next round puts players with similar totals on the same court. The leader partners the fourth-placed player against the second and third, which keeps matches balanced.
Example: 8 players, 2 courts
Round 1 follows your list: court 1 is players 1 & 4 vs 2 & 3, and court 2 is players 5 & 8 vs 6 & 7. After the scores are in, the four players with the most points move to court 1 for round 2, and the rest play on court 2.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Mexicano and Americano?
Both use rotating partners and individual points. In Americano the whole schedule is fixed in advance. In Mexicano each round is created from the current ranking, so players of similar form meet and games stay close.
How are teams formed in Mexicano?
After each round players are ranked by total points. The top four play on court 1: #1 and #4 against #2 and #3. The next four play on court 2 the same way, and so on.
How is the first round decided?
The first round uses the order you typed the names in. Put players in rough level order for a seeded start, or in any order for a random start.
What happens with an odd number of players?
Players sit out in turn, as evenly as possible. Players who have rested the most always play next.
